Anantara Veli Maldives Resort
Operating under a multi-island concept together with its sister resorts, Anantara Dhigu and Naladhu Private Island, Anantara Veli is part of the "Anantara Village," consisting of three interconnected resorts.
Anantara Veli operates as an adults-only resort. Entry for children from sister resorts is restricted after 5 PM, making it especially suitable for honeymooners seeking a peaceful and private getaway without interruption from family travelers.
With a 100% lagoon-based natural environment, as well as access to sandbanks and picnic islands, the resort offers a complete Maldives experience. Guests can also freely use the facilities and restaurants of its sister resorts.
Located approximately 35 minutes by resort speedboat from Malé International Airport, Anantara Veli also features an exclusive lounge where guests can relax comfortably before boarding. In 2023, Deluxe Over Water Pool Villas were newly built, and both Over Water Pool Villas and Beach Pool Villas have been renovated, giving the resort an overall refined and modern atmosphere.

Designed at approximately 99 sqm, this villa offers unobstructed ocean views from both the bedroom and bathroom. Guests can access the outdoor deck directly from the bedroom, where a plunge pool and a split-level deck with a dining table allow for close enjoyment of the Maldivian ocean.
2. Beach Pool Villa
Designed at approximately 139 sqm including a private pool, and up to approximately 231 sqm when including the private beachfront area. The villa features a fully separated bedroom and bathroom layout, along with a dedicated dressing room, providing a spacious and well-organized living environment.
3. Deluxe Over Water Pool Villa
Designed at approximately 132 sqm over the emerald lagoon, this villa offers an ideal layout for travelers seeking privacy and relaxation. With a two-bay structure separating the bedroom and bathroom, guests can enjoy beautiful lagoon views from every space.
Anantara Veli is operated by a Thai global hospitality group, and compared to other resorts, it offers a higher standard of Thai cuisine. In fact, many honeymoon guests have expressed high satisfaction with its dining experiences. Additionally, guests can freely access the restaurants at its sister resort, Anantara Dhigu, providing a wide range of culinary options.
1. Baan Huraa
A traditional wooden house-style restaurant set over the lagoon, serving authentic Thai cuisine. The balance of spices, tropical aromas, and the smoothness of coconut creates an exotic yet comforting dining experience—perfect for a Maldives honeymoon.
2. Cumin
A restaurant offering South Asian cuisine using spices from the Indian Ocean region. Signature dishes include traditional Indian and Sri Lankan curries, as well as richly spiced stews and seafood.
3. Origami
A modern Japanese dining experience emphasizing clean and refined flavors. Featuring fresh seafood, the menu includes sashimi, sushi, and teppanyaki, offering a light yet sophisticated culinary experience suited to a tropical resort setting.

Inter-island transfers are available via shuttle boats every 10–15 minutes, with travel times of only 2–5 minutes, making movement quick and convenient.
